Welcome to HALO Skin Aesthetics - Sale's own non-surgical cosmetic clinic - owned and operated by local resident and Registered Nurse Steph McKinnon.

HALO Skin Aesthetics aims to provide a range of cosmetic injectable treatments to create subtle and natural looking enhancements to support self-confidence and well-being, in a caring, safe and professional way.

At HALO- all consultations and treatments are performed by Steph. Steph is both a Registered Nurse and Midwife with over 30 years nursing experience, having worked in big city hospitals in Australia and the UK, and now regionally after settling in Sale over 12 years ago. Many of you will already know Steph through her role as a lead nurse and midwife at our local hospital here in Sale!

Steph has held clinical, leadership, consultant and project management roles during her already rewarding nursing and midwifery career. Steph is committed to ethical and best practice, patient safety, and continual education to keep up to date with the latest industry advancements.

Dermal fillers are gel-like substance made of a Hyaluronic Acid (a naturally occurring substance in our body) and are injected beneath the skin to restore volume lost through ageing, smooth lines and soften creases, correct asymmetry or enhance facial contours.

With almost instant results, dermal fillers are most popularly used to add hydrating volume to lips, enhance the cheek bones and provide volume in the chin and jaw, while still maintaining a natural look.

The type and amount of dermal filler required varies depending on the area to be treated and individual needs. We only use premuim products approved by the TGA.

Dermal fillers are broken down over time via normal body processes, but usually last between 6-12 months or longer, depending on the area treated. Lip fillers may last for only 3-6 months.

Bio-remodelling uses a special form of hylauronic acid injected just under the skin to stimulate your own cells to produce more collagen and elastin, and to deeply hydrate the skin. This treatment boosts the skin's texture, tone and elasticity to reduce the appearance of fine lines and helps overall skin luminosity.

Bio-remodelling injections are typically used for facial rejuvenation, but are suitable for other areas such as neck, decolletage and hands.

For best results, 2 treatments performed 1 month apart, is recommended. Then, ongoing treatments every 6 months to maintain results.

Results may be visible after 3-4 weeks and last for approximately 6-12 months.

Anti-wrinkle injections use a neurotoxin to block the chemical signal that the brain sends to the muscle to contract. This causes the targeted muscle to relax, smoothing the overlying skin and reducing the appearance of wrinkles. With repeated treatments over time, continued relaxation of the muscle can prevent new wrinkles from forming.

Results can be seen from as early as 2-3 days, and full treatment results can be seen after about 14 days and usually last 3-4 months.

The dosage of product required for treatment varies between individuals and the areas being treated.

Anti wrinkle injections are most commonly used to treat expression lines on the upper face such as frown and forehead lines and crows feet, but can also be used to treat other areas.

A complimentary and obligation free initial consultation appointment is perfect for those that are new to cosmetic injectables and are unsure which treatment most suits your needs, or just want more information before making any treatment decisions.

A consultation is also included in all "New Client" bookings and is essential to assess suitability for treatment and obtain informed consent for treatment. A consultation also assists in determining the product type, dose and cost of your agreed treatment plan.

Booking Deposit: A $50 deposit is required at time of booking to secure your appointment and will be deducted from the total cost of your treatment on the day of your appointment, or from the total cost of any treatment at HALO Skin Aesthetics.

Please note that a medical consultation is required prior to any treatment to determine suitability therefore if it is deemed by the Nurse or Doctor that you are not suitable for treatment on the day, or if the client decides not to proceed with treatment, the deposit will be refunded.

Cancellations: Cancellations or changes to appointments must be made at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment via our online booking system or by contacting us directly.

Cancellations or changes within 24 hours of your scheduled treatment will forfeit the $50 booking deposit.

No shows will forfeit the $50 booking deposit.

Refunds: Due to the nature of cosmetic injectables and skin treatments refunds will not be provided under any circumstances unless required in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
